Anna Davison and the 100th Anniversary Quilt
Last February, the Guild was contacted by the committee planning the celebrations of the 100th Anniversary for the Mahone Bay School. They asked us if we would be interested in making a quilt to commemorate the occasion. The Guild asked Anna Davison if she would like to head up the project and come up with a design with the idea that members would help to make the blocks and quilt the quilt. Anna got right to work, the Guild was very enthusiastic and soon we had about 40 members eagerly stitching. We had a deadline for June 4, the opening of the exhibit at the school of photographs and memorabilia from the last 100 years.
Some of the almost 40 quilters who helped make the quilt.
